Hartlepool Council Tax Rates

The amount of Council Tax you have to pay depends on the valuation band your property is in and the number of people aged 18 or over living in your property.

When we calculate your Council Tax below we assume that two or more people, aged 18 or over, live in your property.

If you think your property has been put into the wrong Council Tax valuation band, you need to contact the Valuation Office.

In certain cases you may qualify for a council tax reduction, for example, if only one adult lives in your home, if you're disabled, or if you live with people we don't count for council tax purposes like a full-time student, a student nurse or a carer.
