The Safer Hartlepool Partnership
The Safer Hartlepool Partnership is made up of a large number of organisations working together to reduce crime and the fear of crime in Hartlepool. Hartlepool's Elected Mayor, Councillor Stuart Drummond, chairs the Partnership.
Councillor Drummond said, " During 2004, the Partnership undertook an Audit of Crime, Disorder and Drugs in Hartlepool and a new strategy, which will run from 2005-2008, has been developed. This strategy concentrates on seven key areas and we have formed Task Groups for each one."
The Partnership is managed by an Executive Group and a Partnership Board. The Executive Group meets every six weeks and gives strategic direction to the Partnership and proposes developments.
The Partnership Board meets only three times a year and its main aim is to monitor the activities of the Partnership, the task groups and projects. It also receives a report from the District Commander of Cleveland Police on current trends in crime.
