Hartlepool: Best or Worst place to live?

HARTLEPOOL is to feature in a new television programme about the "best" and "worst" places to live in Britain.
But which category the town falls into won't be revealed until the live show is broadcast.

Update: Hartlepool has been voted 20th in the top 20 worst places to live. We all know this is a load of rubbish, let us know what you think in our forum - better still, get over to the channel4 site and let them know what our great little town is all about: http://www.channel4bestandworst.co.uk/borough.php?id=262 and boycott the program.

TV Guide, Wednesday 17th October:

BBC1 - The Nature of Britain
BBC2 - Heroes
ITV - Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous
SKYONE - Bones

Channel 4's website has revealed the 40 local areas to be featured on the programme Location Location Location: Best and Worst LIVE!
Before the show is broadcast on Wednesday, October 17, the channel wants locals to voice their opinions on where they live and either defend, praise or even denounce their home town.

The merged alphabetical list of the top 20 "best" and top 20 "worst" has been released with Hartlepool included on the list among the likes of Hull, Blackpool and Stoke-on-Trent.

Contributors can also send in videos or images about their local area.
Some of the best will then be featured on the programme.
Presenters Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp will be revealing the results in a live 90-minute special.

Property expert Sofie Allsopp will get reaction from the public in the "worst" places to live.

All areas were judged on six categories – crime, environment, lifestyle, health, education and employment – using data from sources including local authorities, the Home Office and the Office for National Statistics.
