Hartlepool Maritime Festival - Friday 4th - Sunday 6th July 2008

Hartlepool Maritime Festival is now established as one of the major events in the Tees Valley and this year it promises to be an awesome appetizer to the Tall Ships’ Races in August 2010.

The huge programme of events (most of which are free) will take place on land, on the water and even in the sky.

The festival is a celebration of Hartlepool's heritage and everything maritime. It's also the perfect way to show how Hartlepool is evolving into a tourist destination. If you haven't been here before or for a number of years, prepare to be amazed by the changes.

The festival will be a giant piece of harbour-side entertainment, attracting tens of thousands of people to join in a celebration of the rich past, present and future maritime heritage of Hartlepool.

Expect to enjoy:

A wide-ranging programme of music
Surprising and hilarious street theatre
Exhilarating watersports
Breath-taking aerial and trapeze performances
Continental market, selling an abundance of delicious produce
Comedy, dance, and much much more
Most of the entertainment is completely free!

New for 2008 :
