WOMEN can now sign up for Hartlepool and District Hospice's 2009 Midnight Walk. This girls night out with a difference will see women of all ages to take part in a unique sponsored walk- at midnight this autumn.

HMRC Cutter Vigilant at Dockfest this weekend

The HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC)/ UK Border Agency (UKBA) cutter Vigilant will form an added attraction to this weekend’s Hartlepool Dockfest as she arrives for the two day event on Saturday.

Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is launching the search for local people to star in a new advertising campaign.

 

Joni Mitchell Project – Thursday 18th June

Singer/Songwriter Sally Barker has cherished a long-held ambition to present Joni Mitchell’s songs as close to their original form as is possible. ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ was one of the first songs Sally sang live and she has lost count of the times her voice has been compared to Joni’s. When Sally was asked to perform ‘Coyote’ as Joni in a tribute version of Martin Scorsese’s film The Last Waltz, research into the song’s tuning refuelled that ambition.

The High Plane Drifters are a Psychedelic Garage Blues two piece from Nothern England consisting of Wesley Stephenson on Drums and Timothy Oxnard on vocals and guitar.
