Bailes Garage can still be found in Hartlepool today – now known as Hart Lane Motor Port, opposite Serpentine Gardens / Thornhill Gardens.
The garage was home to Hartlepool’s first petrol pump and serviced cars and motor cycles (Motor Cycles being much more popular in those days).
